When you stay in a country with great food and amazing landscapes, when you spend your time swimming, snorkeling, walking, drinking, speaking with new persons you met and listening to music till late, to return in a place with nothing to do except work, seeing almost always the same faces, is not very motivating. I would have loved to stay longer and to visit other places, other cultures. In consequence, to be back in my small shared room, my tiny bed and the monotonous food was, for the first two days, no very pleasant.
But, by chance, my boss sent me to a crazy mission. I worked more than ever and remarked, one more time, how much I like my job. Moreover, my new camera is great and I'm really enjoying low light photography with it. I have to try to organize a new night session and to buy 1-2 f1.4 lens(es) (If you know a shop selling a Canon 50mm 1.4, let me know. It's out of stock everywhere, including Thailand).
I know I've been quite enthusiastic in the last weeks about my job. But everything is for sure not perfect. After more than half a year in this mission, I've seen people changing. Stress, real personality appearing, selfishness, people licking asses just to get a better position and salary, persons looking busy and important and finally showing their real face, lazy and incompetent. But also silent workers performing an outstanding job. I start having an "inside view" and, I guess, a little more accurate vision. I lost some friends, got new. That's life I suppose. The same life, in Europe, Asia or Africa, whatever you do, however you live.
